With its pedestrian-friendly layout and innovative urban design, Savannah serves as a balm for the senses.
SOCIAL DAY ACTIVITIES
The city of Savannah inspires visitors with its emerald tree canopy, quaint cobblestone streets and majestic architecture. Take the time to wander off the beaten path and experience the history, beauty and charm of this beloved coastal city.
We wrap up the day with the American Prohibition Museum. A museum where you can drink? Ain’t that swell! As part of the museum experience, whisper the password at the door, and enter our speakeasy that’s bound to raise your spirits. You’ll be greeted by a bartender who’ll be happy to serve you one of our select 1920’s cocktails & a dash of history with every pour.
Whether you spend the day playing with us, or on your own, join us at the Atrium Bar located at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront (our host hotel). This is a great opportunity to unwind, grab a drink, see old friends and make new ones.
Sunday at 3 pm, join us for the Narrated Harbor Sightseeing Tour. During the 1½ hour cruise, sit back and relax as the Captain fascinates you with intriguing tales of Savannah’s history and modern-day port. Head down river to Old Fort Jackson, home of one of the largest and oldest original artillery pieces in the country! Take advantage of great photo opportunities of Savannah’s historic riverfront. Skyline Bar and Grill menu is available. Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to departure.
We will close out the evening at Rocks on the River for dinner and cocktails. There you will find Savannah’s best river view, where a chic ambiance sets the mood. Try a seafood dish you haven’t had, or a Savannah inspired creation with a little twist. Take a stroll along the riverfront and catch the cargo ships sailing by for dessert.
Monday is Tybee Island day! Tybee Island is a small coastal community located only 18 miles away from Historic Savannah, Georgia. Consistently named as one of the top-rated beaches in the U.S., Tybee has something for everyone! We start the day off with a historic Tybee Island Light Station tour, followed by lunch at The Original Crab Shack and we finish off with Captain Derek’s Dolphin Adventure.
